EDWARD P. FODY, MD

Edward P. Fody  (“Ned”) received his undergraduate degree from Duke University and received a n MS in chemistry from the University of Wisconsin before attending Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, from which he received his MD.  He completed his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at Vanderbilt and served as surgical pathology fellow there.  He also completed a clinical chemistry fellowship at Texas Medical Center in Houston.

He has served as chief of pathology at the McClellan VA Medical Center, Little Rock, AR, Bethesda Hospital System, Cincinnati OH, Erlanger Medical Center, Chattanooga TN and Holland Hospital, Holland MI, where he is currently on the staff.  Dr. Fody is the co-editor of a best selling clinical chemistry textbook and numerous publicans in anatomic and clinical pathology.  He is president of Western Michigan Pathology Associates.

Dr. Fody frequently consults on Health Care Development Services’ engagements. His areas of expertise include pathology group organizational issues; pathology department work flow, pathology informaton system implementation, coding and reimbursement issues, and aspects of pathology group relationships within hospital settings.
