KARIM SIRGI, MD, MBA

Dr. Sirgi is a diplomat of the Saint Joseph University School of Medicine, Beirut, Lebanon. He completed his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at Booth Memorial Medical Center in New York City, a fellowship in surgical pathology at Barnes Hospital, Washington University Medical Center in Saint Louis, Missouri, and an additional subspecialty fellowship in general and interventional cytopathology at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas.  Dr. Sirgi is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology with subspecialty board certification in cytopathology.

Dr. Sirgi held various healthcare-related leadership roles at the private group, professional society individual hospital and hospital system levels, including Presidency of Unipath PC, the largest privately-owned pathology group in the Rocky Mountains Region. He was also president of the medical staff at Presbyterian/Saint Luke’s Medical Center, a tertiary care facility in Denver, Colorado. Dr. Sirgi has also actively participated in committees of the College of American Pathologists and is a current member of the College’s Engaged Leadership Network.

After completion of MBA studies at the University of Amherst, Isenberg School of Business, Dr. Sirgi founded LambdaX3 International, a consulting firm focused on Lean management, organizational leadership and the practical integration of digital imaging systems in diagnostic pathology. Dr. Sirgi is joined at LambdaX3 by Dr. Stephen Raab, an internationally recognized Lean Management expert. Dr. Sirgi has been invited to lecture and participate on discussion panels at national meetings, with emphasis on organizational leadership and novel business models in laboratory medicine.
